Hello, I am a writer from Bradford, West Yorkshire (UK), home of the Bronte sisters, the Cottingley Fairies, and decent portions of food! My stories have appeared in quite a few fantasy/sci-fi magazines, webzines and anthologies, and my hope now is to attempt to write a novel.
I studied English at the University of Leeds, which was where I was introduced to medieval literature, Lord of the Rings, big libraries and working lunches. I have had a few strange jobs since, including special needs support assistant and admin assistant for HM Prison Service (yes, I did have to go inside the walls and it was v. v. scary!!) but my desire to be a wife/mother and a writer won out in the end. I wrote constantly as a child and teenager, but gave up aged around 18, thinking I was no good. I didn't start again until the Lord of the Rings films came out, when I was catapulted back into it by the power of love and fanfic. "The Handmaid of Gondor" was my first Legolas fanfic, and it's sequel, "Bond of Love" is where the name of this site comes from. Getting great fanfic reviews was what made me decide, for the second time, that writing was what I really wanted to do.

I love fairy tales, going to the cinema, sitting in the coffee shop of my local bookshop (in the old Wool Exchange) with a mocha and a manga, 19th-century novels, all things medieval, playing the piano, wandering about in the countryside, my dreams, Studio Ghibli, lots of fantasy titles, and a whole lot more beside.
On this page you can see me enjoying the Norwegian Book Town (see my story The Thirteenth King, where it briefly features) and doing archery in Sherwood Forest with the help of my Legolas T-shirt.
